The 2025 Catholic Sisters Week campaign theme is #LikeaCatholicSister - a national initiative that highlights the incredible work of Catholic Sisters across the country, a movement to challenge outdated stereotypes and shift perceptions of religious life by showcasing the diverse, dynamic, and impactful ways sisters serve today.
At a time when many find it difficult to see the light ahead, this campaign serves as a reminder that hope is alive. #LikeaCatholicSister aims to redefine what it means to live as a Catholic Sister as a vibrant, purpose-driven calling that continues to shape communities and inspire faith.
Fighting for the Forgotten: #LikeaCatholicSister

Sister Karen Bland in Grand Junction, Colorado is a leader in preventing and ending homelessness in her role as Executive Director of Grand Valley Catholic Outreach. Read more about her latest project.
Srs. Judith Zonsius, Belinda Monahan, and Susan Quaintance walked with 150 others in Interfaith Action of Evanston's Annual Walk for Warmth on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The walk honors his commitment to social, economic and racial justice, with the goal of raising awareness of homelessness in Evanston and fundraising for their shelter and other programs.
Standing Against Injustice: #LikeaCatholicSister

Sr. Benita Coffey and oblate Kathlyn Myers participated in a silent vigil in the Brighton Park neighborhood in March 2025 with Sisters and Brothers of Immigrants. About two dozen people held signs supporting our undocumented neighbors.
Since taking a public corporate stand in 2013, we continue to call for comprehensive immigration reform that restores basic rights to persons who come to the United States to work and/or feed their families. We support policies which guarantee that the family unit is not destroyed and actions aimed at promoting the dignity and well-being of those seeking the opportunity for productive lives in our nation.
Reshaping Narratives: #LikeaCatholicSister

We're debunking myths about sisters with an article by Sr. Susan Quaintance published in U.S. Catholic in 2014 and still relevant today.
We invite you to reflect on and celebrate the ways you, too, make a difference in your community. Just as Catholic Sisters dedicate their lives to service, advocacy, and faith, we all have the opportunity to share compassion, uphold our values, and contribute to the greater good in our own unique ways.
