From July 5-10, 2019 Director of Oblates, Sister Benita Coffey, OSB, along with Oblates Penny Goldman and Kevin Chears attended the Biennial Conference of North American Association of Benedictine Oblate Directors (NAABOD) in Schuyler, Nebraska. The theme: Continuing the Sacred Tradition: Benedictine Spirituality Today and Tomorrow, carried the group through a series of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, time for prayer and silence as well as fellowship among peers.
This biennial conference provides ongoing formation for Oblate Directors and an opportunity for dialogue which supports Oblates of the 21st century. When she walked the Labyrinth at St. Benedict Center, Sister Benita experienced a sense of how to proceed with what she had gained from the conference.
