On Saturday May 5th, St. Scholastica Monastery welcomed many participants to walk for peace on World Labyrinth Day 2018. There was an introduction at 9:00 am and a closing ceremony at 8 pm. All in all, around 55 people came throughout the day. The Regional Representative of the Labyrinth Society, builder of the St. Scholastica Monastery Labyrinth, and Oblate at this Monastery, Dan Raven, was present to welcome and assist with Labyrinth questions and discuss insights into building as well as walking the Labyrinth. As you can see by the photos, it was an absolutely stunning day where we did not need to use the indoor Labyrinth. Sister Mary Melady, OSB, led the closing ceremony prayer and the singing of "Let there be Peace on Earth" to a picturesque scene of dusk and the Labyrinth surrounded by candles. Thank you to all who participated and walked for peace.
