Our monastery is located in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. Built in 1906, our residence and other buildings comprise 14 acres of quiet green space in the middle of the bustling city. Labyrinth and Gardens
Discover a spiritual sanctuary in the city! We invite you to visit our outdoor prayer labyrinth and gardens any day during daylight hours. The labyrinth is accessible via the northern service drive. Look for the brown signs pointing you towards the northwest corner of our property where you will find the labyrinth and benches for prayerful contemplation.
The Oasis Room
Schedule your next day retreat or meeting here. The Oasis Room is located amid the gardens of our 14 acre property. It offers space for an individual day retreat or small groups up to 20 in number. The room includes a seating area with couches and chairs, a dining space, and a small kitchenette. Access to the chapel can be arranged. St. Scholastica Monastery and Chapel
St. Scholastica Monastery is the main administrative and residence center of the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago. The St. Scholastica Chapel, pictured at the top of this page, is located within the monastery and is at the heart of the community's prayer life. You are welcome to join us for daily prayer or Sunday Mass.
St. Joseph Chapel
This chapel is located in the St. Joseph Court infirmary, connected to the monastery building. Some spirituality programs take place here.
